This is a Superb Amp in all respects. Well Built with Excellent Transformers, Correctly Rated Electronic Components and Good Quality Hardware, Construction is Strong an Light. It's appearance is (perhaps) not to every-body's Taste but it is the Best (From the Far East) 15 Watt, All Valve Amp Around. The Guys that Designed this Amp Really Knew what they were Doing and Although the Circuit Design is Slightly Unorthodox, it's Performance is Second to None. The Actual Build Quality is not as Good as the Blackheart Amps but the Sound Quality is Far Superior. There are some Fantastic 'Clean' Sounds Available and when you Crank it - It's a Monster. Absolutely NO 'Buzz -or- Hum' Issues and a Really Trick 'Mute' System that makes the Amp Silent when Nothing is connected to the Input. Superb - You can Not Fault it.

The Goal here is to make the Amp even Better! There is only one way to do that - Fit 'Power Scaling'.

No way could you ever use the Standard Amp to it's Full Potential at Home - It is Just TOO Loud. Even the 7 Watt Setting is a 'Face Melter'. Power Scaling Integrates Beautifully into this Amp and will allow you to 'Crank' it - For Bedroom Practice. The Real Beauty of Power Scaling is that when it is not being used - The Amp Remains Standard - Power Scaling will not Effect the Sound of the Amp 'AT ALL' when it is Set to Full Power - It's Like a 'Ghost' Modification.

Power Scaling is the Only Modification I do to the 'Tiny Terror' - It is the Only Mod Worth doing. I have a Fixed Price and Quick Turnaround on this Amp. There are two Different Front Panel Layouts on the 'TT' depending on When and Where (Korea, Taiwan or China) the Amp was Made. Power Scaling works AOK with Both Types of Amp. If you want the 'Power Scale' Controls on the Front of the Amp the two existing Switches will be Replaced with -

1. A Three Position Switch for 'PS1'-'Standby'-'PS2'.

2. A Rotary Control for the 'Power Scaling'.

3. The Mains Switch will be on the Rear Panel.

4. The '7/15 Watt' Switch will be Removed. 

Modifications

1. Power Scaling - This is the Business and essential for any Amplifier used in the Home. I Have tried ALL of the other systems that claim to Reduce the Volume without changing the Tone - This is the ONLY one that really works. 'RAT Electronics' is Licensed by ‘London Power’ to Install this Technology and Pays a License Fee for each Installation.

2. PS1+PS2 - - 'PS1'....This is the Standard Method of 'Power Scaling' in which only the Valve Output Circuits are Scaled. The Preamp Circuits are 'Held' at Normal Supply Voltage - - 'PS2'.... This Setting Totally Changes the Dynamics of the Amplifier as Both the Preamp and Power Amp Circuits are Scaled. The Resulting Effect is Known as 'Brown Out'. The most Well known user of 'Brown Out' was 'EVH'. He used a 'Variac' to Achieve the 'Brown Sound', but the End Result is the Same as 'PS2', without the Risk of any Damage to the Valves.
